The most magnificent of all Orientale Poppys - the Princess Victoria Louise has massive blooms spanding up to 20cms across. The long lasting blooms will draw attention from all who see them. These flowers do not have any scent so they make a fantastic addition to the garden for those sensitive to smells. 
 
This Perennial is hardy and requires very little attention and minimal water. During the hot summer months it will disapear under the soil but reemerge during autumn. 
 
They like good drainage soil in a full sun position in cooler climates and part shade in hotter climates. Blooms reach to 60cms tall. 
 
Perennial Poppys need light to germinate so it is important to surface sow the seeds on good quality seed raising mix. Best germination when temperatures are between 16-20 degrees. Can be sown year round however best to avoid planting in summer.
