Sow direct seeds in late summer-autumn in frost-free areas; or in seed trays/pots indoors, and keep moist. Thin plants once they develop 2-4 leaves and are easily handled. Plant in free draining sandy soil for best flowering, but generally unfussy. If planted early they will flower in the same year.
