Produces roots 16.5 to 19 cm long that are cylindrical in shape at fully maturity. This variety  produces strong and vigorour tops approx 45 cm tall and dark green in colour, both  the interior and exterior of the root are dark orange.  Compared to other standard hybrids, Bluey is earlier and has a superior colour. This variety has shown some resistance to Cercospora Carotae and Alternaria Daucl and shown resistance to premature bolting and has very good flavour.
